On Thursday we had assistant director Richard White as a quest speaker. He told us about previsualization, what his job responsibilities as an assistant, and what does on in making a movie. He showed us videos from the movies he has worked on and how they did what they did to make the movies. He told us about how they use green screens and storyboards and CGI. How they made 300 rise of an empireOn of the things I learned was how they made the 300 Rise of the Empire. They use a special object that tilts the platform. That's how they made the ships rock. They used previsualization to demonstrate how everything was going to be. In this movie everything is manly CGI and the actors are just standing in front of a green screen. This is a picture of some previsualization that we saw. It was using CGI or computer generated imaging. How i think what we are doing in sci vis is being used by individuals working on a film/tv show.I think that people are already using sci vis like Mr. White told us. They use 3D modeling and CGI to make the scenes before they even act, and to make special effects. In the Terminator Genisys they used a certain kind of face map to put Arnold Schwarzenegger's face from the first movie to the actor in the movie playing him. He also told us about how they story boarded the scenes.
